Astro Zombies (1969) John Carradine

After being fired from the Space Agency, the disgruntled (not to mention crazy) Dr. DeMarco creates an Astroman from a criminal's dead body. However, he loses control of his creation, which goes on a killing spree, attracting the attention of an international spy ring and the CIA.

Astro Zombies was co-written by Wayne Rogers (as in Trapper John from the M*A*S*H* TV series), I wonder if this movie was on his resume? I watched the movie just to see Tura Satana and her cleavage, did you expect something different from me? Horrendous acting, crappy editing and amateurish directing, make the Astro Zombies one of the worst films in history. This is one of several low budget films made by Ted Mikels, who knew how to stretch a buck. The scene with the wrecked auto utilized an abandoned wreck that was on land that Mikels owned. During the filming the police cars show up but that doesn't matter to Mikels, he keeps the cameras rolling and gets some free action.  The film did well in theaters, but critics ignored it, and I'm not sure that I blame them. ★★
