Did the Philadelphia Experiment really take place? Men who actually served on the ship say no. The story was started by a man called Carl Meredith Allen, using the alias Carlos Miguel Allende. Carl Allen supplied no proof to verify what he claimed to witness, so this experiment remains an urban legend. Having said that the movie was pretty good, although I was bothered by the sailors in 1943 having 1980's haircuts. The special effects, acting and story are good. Watch this film because you like science fiction not for any historical significance. ★★★
