For a TV movie this is one of the best. John Travolta gives a convincing performance and you really feel sorry for the boy. He looks at the girl next door growing up and yet he can't ask her on a date or do anything that normal kids get to do. The film follows his life as he grows up living in a hermetically sealed room. One emotional scene sees him get his first kiss, even though its between a plastic wall. The Boy in the Plastic Bubble is a love story that is both heart warming and tragic. ★★★
