Simon Cordier, magistrate, visits a condemned prisoner who pleads his innocence insisting that he has been taken over by a spirit that forced him to murder. The condemned man dies and the evil spirit enters the magistrate. This is classic Vincent Price who is quoted as saying, "I sometimes feel that I'm impersonating the dark unconscious of the whole human race. I know this sounds sick, but I love it.", and so do we. An interesting plot, beautiful color and great acting make this a classic Hollywood horror film. ★★★
